Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

An interactive environment developed by National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) for data visualisation and analysis in the cloud. The VDI substantially simplifies complicated analysis workflows that span multiple NCI systems by bringing together key data collections, analysis software and compute systems in a familiar interface. You can work with the VDI as though on your own computer, without the need to wait on interactive queue jobs.

For more information, see NCI: Data Services.

Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS)

The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) is one of the key instruments onboard the NOAA-20 spacecraft, as well as the Suomi-NPP satellite. It collects visible and infrared imagery and global observations of land, atmosphere, cryosphere and oceans.
